Our epic location gives way to some incredible scenery, landscapes and trails that we highly recommend you explore on two wheels. Whether you’re looking for a gentle ride in the fresh air, through woodlands and castles or a full day of world class trails, North Wales is a hub for riding.
You can hire some wheels locally from Beics Betws or Snowdonia Bikes and head off for a full day or half day on some of our local mountain bike trails. Expect brilliant single-track and some truly awesome scenery.
Gwydir Fforest
The Marin Trail is one of the ‘musts’ of North Wales for any serious mountain biker. The trail is a true classic with big climbs, big descents, singletrack – and fabulous views of the Snowdonia mountains along the way. Most of the climbs are on forest roads and tracks and all of the descents are on singletrack The singletack varies from very tight, technical and rocky to open and flowing, from dark forest to exposed ridgeline.

PENMACHNO TRAILS
The infamous Penmachno trails are managed by a local community group, funded by donations from bikers and maintained by volunteers. The trails are split into two loops, which can be ridden individually or as one amazing 30km ride. Be warned, if you do ride the complete circuit, just as you get your breath back from the descents on Loop 1 the views on Loop 2 will take it away again!

The Pump track
Our super-smooth asphalt track is a great place to practice new tricks and hone your skills before or after or in between hitting the trails. With many of the skills learned here being transferable into the forest, from braking, body position, cornering and jumping! Suitable for all ages, rip around, clock your time or race your mates with split track racing. Were sure you’ll leave the track with a smile on your face!
